Presented on the 2024 SMM in Hamburg, the reports examined hydrogen and wind propulsion’s greenhouse gasoline (GHG) impact, sustainability, availability, scalability, techno-financial aspects, laws, chance and security.

Panos Koutsourakis, ABS’ Vice President, World Sustainability, mentioned: “This look is the made of many months of intense divulge with our consortium companions and EMSA that within the waste offers complete insight into the doable of hydrogen and wind-assisted propulsion.”

Dagmar Nelissen, Manager of Shipping at CE Delft, commented: “This project gave us the opportunity to analyze indispensable alternatives which could allow the sphere to conform with upcoming regulatory requirements for GHG emissions. By offering a relentless prognosis of the rather just a few alternatives on the subject of their suitability, availability, sustainability, and value implications, we wished to provide the sphere with precious files for his or her resolution-making route of.”

Edwin Pang, Founder of Arcsilea, added: “Every look has equipped recent insights and views on these promising technologies, particularly within the residing of security, regulatory gaps and implementation elements, and we’re overjoyed to make contributions to this indispensable work.”

To conceal, this multi-year project is tasked to raise a total of six reports, the first of which bearing in thoughts biofuels and ammonia. The rest two reports are underway and can also search synthetic fuels and nuclear vitality for transport. Newsletter is predicted for the duration of the year.

ABS is also working with EMSA, the Nationwide Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and Fundación Valenciaport on a protracted-period of time look bearing in thoughts the safety of ammonia as a marine gasoline.
